A Message From the Sellers: 6389 Claremont Ave

Words cannot express how truly elated we were when our offer on this home was accepted in 2015. We knew the moment we walked in the door that this house was special. From the abundance of birds, to the amazing sunsets and the awesome breeze through the dining room window, this home has an undeniable peacefulness about it. We love the split level design of the home and its many architectural details such as the original tilework of the fireplace and the arched doorways of the main living area.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here as a couple, as a family of three, and finally, as a family of four. We have never taken the incredible views of the SF city skyline, Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz for granted. Having Wildcat Canyon just down the road has been priceless. The proximity of the Gyuto Foundation’s Buddhist Sanctuary, Albany’s Solano Ave chock-full of restaurants and shops, and Tilden’s Regional Park with its trails, petting zoo, carousel, Lake Anza and more has been a wonderful blessing for us. The Arlington Market, only one block away, has never let us down. We have spent oodles of time in our newly renovated backyard, seeing just one of our surrounding neighbors on a regular basis as our other neighbor is only around a few times a year and there is a small private school behind us.

It has been so great to live on a court where traffic is minimal, children can play outside and neighbors are friendly. Mira Vista Elementary is two houses away and is full of outstanding teachers. The local community is tight-knit and supportive.

Because the pandemic has made things so logistically difficult, we have recently taken the room adjacent to the garage which was once a dirt floored room with open framing and converted it into a bonus space which can be used for pretty much anything and has served us well as an office / Zoom room. For those who do not work remotely, the El Cerrito Del Norte Bart Station is only 1.9 miles away.

We have been fortunate enough to call this house our home for a little over five years now and are selling because we are being relocated for work. Although we are sad to have to say goodbye, we are so excited for the joy and memories it will bring to the next owners who move in.
